International service update

Australia Post   >  14 August 2020

While Australia Post continues to experience international delivery delays, we are continuing to work to improve our delivery performance wherever flight capacity and restrictions allow. I'm pleased to advise that with recent improvements in air capacity we now anticipate improved delivery speeds to our key destinations including USA, Canada and South-East Asia.

Although several countries remain on the suspended countries list, in the past week we have resumed Express and Standard services to Estonia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Iran, Austria and the Philippines.

Some of you may have received an update on Monday 10 August on how we're adapting our operations across metropolitan Melbourne to meet Victorian Government restrictions. We are required to reduce the number of people in our metro Melbourne distribution facilities. This will be coupled with split shifts, allowing cleaning between shifts and adherence to a COVID Safe Plan. These restrictions do not apply to any of our operations and deliveries network in regional Victoria.

As we continue to work through how the additional restrictions may impact our services, please allow additional time for items lodged in Victoria to be processed.

As always, we will continue to regularly update auspost.com.au with the latest information about service suspensions and our estimated international delivery timeframes.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience during these challenging times.

Stay safe,
